Leadership Coaching Program

Leading from the Inside Out - Becoming a leader in our own life begins with knowing who we are and what we stand for.

Sessions are once a month from 1:00-2:30

May 11th
June 15th 
July 20th 
August 3rd
September 21st 
October 12th

The journey to self-leadership, economic and social mobility is tied to a fundamental understanding of our personal core values, key character traits and how we fit into the larger world we live in. Foundation for Girls aims to help individuals identify their strengths and learn how to utilize their unique characteristics to find success in work and life.

These sessions will be sponsored by Autism After 18.

Fun at Kinetic Heights

The team at Kinetic Heights have a great evening planned for group activities including balance beams, obstacle courses, zip lines and other activities.

Wear your sneakers and comfortable clothing and get ready for a fun-filled evening! Gatorade and water provided.

These events are free for young adults with autism, age 16+. Registration is required (see form below) and a Kinetic Heights waiver must be completed on Kinetic Height's website. You must specify what date you are registering for on the form.

Please note that Autism After 18 volunteers will be at the event; however, if the person with autism requires supervision it is your responsibility to provide. Thanking you in advance for understanding.

#GameOn Autism Golf Clinic

Come join us on for a #GameOn Autism Golf Clinic!
 
 
The Ernie Els #GameOn Autism™ Golf is a program developed by Els for Autism in collaboration with PGA REACH and The First Tee, that gives children and young adults on the autism spectrum access to the game of golf. The program is aimed at developing social/communication skills, encouraging social interaction and promoting healthy living through golf. Infused with evidence-based practices for teaching golf to individuals with ASD, #GameON Autism Golf is designed to build self-esteem and confidence in a fun, welcoming and supportive environment. The program encourages participants to learn golf skills while practicing specific autism learning objectives, including: communication, regulatory, motor and social skills. Details are below!

When: Saturday June 1st from 1:30-2:30

What: Come give our #GameOn Golf class a try with a one hour clinic! Participants will go through golf based activity stations as done in our weekly #GameOn Golf. All equipment is provided.  Where: The First Tee of Greater Charlotte Learning Center  (2661 Barringer Drive, Charlotte NC)

We are here to support adults with autism. After awareness comes “acceptance” we are here for adults with autism!

Note: If pizza does not work for you there is food available for purchase.

Join us at Discovery Place – Thinker Space for an evening of fun projects!

Event Details:

  • Think it Up:   Discovery Place Science's innovation studio will work with our group on a variety of projects.
  • Think Freely: Take risks and explore your boundaries as you create and innovate.
  • Custom Projects from 3-D Printers, Woodworking tools, laser cutters, 3D carving . . . and more......
  • Snacks provided.

Be sure to wear your Autism After 18 tee-shirt . . . if you don’t have one please wear blue.
